The characteristic of the language teaching method are that methods continue through the time, they prescribe not only the way a language but also the order in which contents should be presented.

The issues of selection and gradation of language teaching today are highly relevant because of times The factors that influence current views of selection and gradation are :The amount of time available for teaching, the objectives of the courses, the teaching method used, select the words according to the kind of students, select the words that could be used in everyday students` life.

As future teachers we have to select the texts that we will use according to our goalstaking into account if the text has continuity, clarity, simplicity, usefulness, and if has a logical progression.

8-How useful are word lists such as those illustrated in appendixes 1 and 2 today? They are not very common because people just want to know the meaning of a word and anything else.
